Virtual Rehab’s Second Quarter 2020 Business Update

Dear Virtual Rehab Partners,

We hope you are well and are safe along with your family, your friends, and your loved ones.

Please find below our business update for the Second Quarter of 2020.

Corporate Policy Changes

As a consequence of the COVID-19 pandemic, and to prioritize the safety and the protection of all of our employees, all business work shall be conducted remotely. All of our employees are encouraged to work-from-home and office work will only be necessary in the case of urgent meetings requiring physical presence at the Virtual Rehab office. Any such meetings will require all employees to be wearing face masks and to be following social distancing guidelines. As always, we have empowered our employees with all the necessary tools to ensure that their work remains undisrupted by these unprecedented times. All customer meetings will be conducted through video conferencing technology. This corporate policy change shall remain in effect until further notice.

Business Challenges

In these unprecedented times, Virtual Rehab faces similar challenges to many companies around the world. The COVID-19 pandemic has, unfortunately, led to slower business transactions since many of our clients have, understandably, altered their priorities and focused their attention on getting through these difficult times. As a result, this has led to some of our meetings and some of our contracts being pushed out until we get through this pandemic. On a more positive note, the pandemic has led Virtual Rehab into new opportunities, which we shall detail later in this update.

New Opportunities / New Wins

Even with all the challenges resulting from the COVID-19 pandemic, Virtual Rehab managed to pull a big win when our proposal was selected by the Government of Canada for the pool of pre-qualified proposals as part of the Innovative Solutions Canada Challenge to assist in tackling issues arising from the COVID-19 pandemic. We will be providing the federal government (and ultimately all Canadians) with Virtual Rehab programs tailored at combating this pandemic along with improving an individual’s Mental Health and Psychological Well-Being.

We are also working on finalizing a couple of new opportunities in Europe; one focused purely on combating substance use addiction, while the other is focused more on enhancing the Mental Health of individuals who have been subjected to various levels of trauma in their past life experience.

Finally, we are also in the final steps of sealing a couple of contracts within the Middle East. One of these contracts is focused on enhancing an individual’s Psychological Well-Being, which may have been impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic. The other contract is more tailored towards rehabilitating those vulnerable populations with substance use addiction.

Solution Development

The COVID-19 pandemic has certainly given our team the opportunity and the time to further develop and to further enhance our Virtual Rehab solution.

We managed to add to our suite of meditation programs. The newly developed programs are meant to train attention, awareness, and achieve a clear, a calm, and a stable state of mind.

We have also added new features to our Virtual Rehab Online Portal, which allows patients to have direct access to all data pertaining to their rehabilitation sessions. We have also added more data analysis to the online portal to assist medical professionals (psychologists and therapists) to better assess a patient’s situation. In addition, we have introduced a new feature which would allow medical professionals to export all data outside of the Virtual Rehab Online Portal.

We have commenced the customization of some of our existing programs to accommodate different languages including Spanish, French, and Hindi. Additional languages shall be added as per our partners’ needs. Note that all Virtual Rehab programs are also customized to be fitting to the various cultural, environmental, and religious backgrounds of our patners.

We have also started working on our Virtual Rehab Telemedicine solution which will allow our partners to securely monitor the progress of the rehabilitation activities of the vulnerable populations they are serving.

Finally, the launch of the Virtual Rehab Therapy Center has been put to a hold due to the current COVID-19 pandemic. We will be re-evaluating this decision as the global circumstances improve.

Customer Service Excellence

In effort to ensure that we continue to attend to our partners’ needs and requests, we have also announced the launch of a new channel of sales and of support through our WhatsApp Business Account Messaging Service. This new service has indeed proven to be quite successful as it provided our existing and future clients with an opportunity to immediately reach out to Virtual Rehab and to promptly receive a response to all of their queries.

New Partnership

We also announced a new partnership with Microsoft, particularly the Microsoft Middle East team, to allow Virtual Rehab to further expand our client base within the Middle East North Africa (MENA) region.

Achievement

We are pleased to announce that our latest results have demonstrated a one percent increase (now, at 88%) in the overall efficacy of the Virtual Rehab solution. The efficacy rate is measured across 62 different metrics covering six categories as per the following announcement.

Awards & Recognition

For the second year in a row, Virtual Rehab has been nominated for the 2020 Global Healthcare & Pharmaceuticals Awards.

Virtual Rehab was also featured in the prestigious list of “Innovations of the World”.

Summary

This past Quarter, although filled with many challenges due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Virtual Rehab team continued to make important strides to solidify our leadership in leveraging innovative technologies to help further enhance the Mental Health and the Psychological Well-Being of the most vulnerable populations around the world.

We would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone, especially our partners, for their continued support of Virtual Rehab.

Should you have any questions about this update, please do not hesitate to contact us.

Stay Safe.

Best Regards,

Virtual Rehab Team
